1. to not include something or someone on a list

ex)

He left three people off the list by mistake.

2. to stop, or to stop doing something

멈추거나 무언가 하는 것을 멈추다

 

ex)

This novel begins where the other one leaves off.

1. If someone or something is 'left off' a list, they are not included on that list.

누군가 또는 무언가가 목록에서 'left off'한 경우 해당 목록에 포함되지 않는다는 의미

 

ex)

She has been deliberately left off the guest list.

그녀는 의도적으로 손님 목록에서 제외되었다.

 

 

2. If someone 'leaves off' doing something, they stop doing it.

누군가가 무언가를 하는 것을 'leaves off'하면 그들이 그 일을 중단한다는 의미
